The United Way of Lamar County has four scholarships available each year for graduating high school seniors in Lamar County.
The first is a $500 academic scholarship to any 2 or 4 year college. The second is a $500 CTE scholarship to a vocational program. The third is a $500 "first generation" to college scholarship.
The 4th scholarship is for students planning on becoming teachers and getting an education degree. This scholarship is $1000 per year for a total of $4000 if you remain and education major. Yearly transcript is required.
